Equality and Diversity Services Ltd
We have decided with our involvement and commitment to champion equality to provide training in the workplace. My wife Samantha Latif has written the courses and they are accredited by the NCFE . More news will follow when we launch this new venture!
Immigration Appeals The firm has maintained its extremely high success rate at Immigration appeals at the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. We have found in particular there have been recently a high number of refusals by the Home Office for student extension and Tier 1 applications which we have appealed against. We have also dealt with a number of refusals arising from the Cambridge College fiasco. There also continues to be a high rate of refusals in marriage and visit entry clearance applications from abroad. It is more important than ever to instruct competent representatives to prepare and represent at immigration appeals. International Seminars Latif Solicitors successfully held our first International Immigration Seminar on Tuesday 27th May 2008 at the Kairaba Beach Hotel in Gambia. The seminar was well attended and there was a high demand for initial consultations, which were held in the afternoon. Our staff thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the Gambian people and are looking forward to holding a further seminar in 2009. In addition we are also hoping to hold a seminar and initial consultation session in Turkey in 2009. Immigration Seminars and Advice Sessions We confirm that we held a number of seminars and advice sessions in Community Centres throughout the North East in 2008. We have recently started a regular advice session at the Bangladeshi Community Centre on Elswick Road. We confirm that the next session will be held on Tuesday 27th January 2009. We confirm that we will also be holding further advice sessions at other Community Centres during the course of 2009. Further details of dates and venues will follow. Ethnic Diversity Solicitors Group The last meeting took place in our offices on the 18th November 2008. The meeting was extremely well attended.
